I met the "Lil' One" in the midst of the pipe worlds years ago. She was riding hard for a little girl from Nova Scotia, so people quickly started noticing her smooth riding style in the pipe and on rails. Thankfully, her riding spoke louder than her, since most of the time you couldn't hear a word when she talked. After years of traveling with her and developing fine-tuned hearing for her voice, I saw Sarah Conrad turn into a beautiful rose with sharp thorns. She now often surprises us with funny comments and well-placed actions. After all this time of riding, living and traveling with crazy people, she's finally breaking out of her shell. But there's lots of things that you'd never know about Sarah if you met her on the hill. For example: she has a twin brother (she's the evil one), she looks damn hot in a bikini, she can skate real good, she can cook a gourmet meal with only a microwave at her disposal, and she's never eaten lobster, which should be sacrilege having been born in the Maritimes. -Dominique Vallee
