Roxy Shooting Star Week 3 Winners- One week left to ENTER!
As Oscar fever winds down, we’ve got a couple more videos to award in the Roxy Shooting Star video competition. This week’s winners are two girls who know how to ride their snowboards. Watch the videos, you’ll see what we mean. For the A-Listers category (or the Actress in a Leading Role, if you will) Britt Horowitz takes the win, representing the University of Vermont Snowboard Team. Britt’s skills have earned her a brand new Roxy snow jacket. And winning the Local Celeb (Best Supporting Actress) is Caitlin Shaw, coming out of the snowy mountains of Revelstoke, BC. Caitlin will need the new Roxy goggles she has won for all the powder face shots she’ll be getting for the rest of the season in BC. There is officially only ONE MORE WEEK to submit your video. We have $1,750 up for grabs, as well as a ton of Roxy snowboards and outerwear. Riders of all levels are welcome!
SHOPS, don’t forget to nominate one girl from your area to represent your shop and she could win you a few head-toe Roxy kits for the girls in the shop! The deadline to submit is midnight on March 4th.
Two weeks down and two weeks to go in the premier online girl’s snowboarding video competition. We’ve got two more Roxy Shooting Star weekly winners whose videos stood out in the field. First up the A-Lister of the week is returning competitor, Michelle Zeller, a Colorado girl who’s not afraid to hit the big jumps and get inverted. Her video is earning her a Roxy Jacket. In the Local Celeb category we have Lauren Broomall, coming out of Big Boulder, PA, who will now be recognizable not only from her trick library but also her new Roxy Googles.
There’s only two weeks left to get your edits in and have a chance at cash & prizes in the A-Listers category and tons of Roxy gear for the Local Celebs. Remember, no matter what your level, this contest has something for everyone. The next 15 girls to enter receive a Roxy tee and beanie! For all the info and to submit your video, visit roxyshootingstar.yobeat.com!
We’re one week into the 2012 Roxy Shooting Star competition, and that means we have winners! Remember, each Monday, we’ll select the best video from both the A-Lister and Local Celebrity categories and send them prizes. It’s not a guarantee that they’ll win the overall prize, but it is an extra chance at gear. The competition was tight in the A-lister category this week, with Katie Williams pulling out a front and backside rodeo to give Danika Duffy a serious run for her money. For her video though, Danika will receive a brand new Roxy Jacket. In the local celeb category, Sarah Fruendt impressed us with her smooth riding on the rails at Crested Butte and is getting a fresh new pair of Roxy Goggles to show for it. (Not to mention the Tee and Beanie they’re both getting for being some of the first girls to sign up!)
There are only three weeks left to submit your video, so get your cameras and put together a video. Whether you’re an expert in the park or just learning to hit boxes and rails, we’ve got two categories and tons of prizes! Get all the info and submit your video at: roxyshootingstar.yobeat.com
Casting call! We’re on the search for the next snowboard video star. Send us your best snowboard video shots for the chance to win money and prizes. New this year, enter as a A-Lister or a Local Celebrity– you decide. Winners will be selected every week, with the grand prizes awarded on March 5th. This amateur event is closed to professional riders and entry is FREE. Weekly winners will have their video shown on Roxy, yobeat.com, and sbcwomen.com.
