I managed to receive an invite to the Dew Tour Toyota Championship finals at Snowbasin with a few of my buddies. I was quite happy to do this contest because it gave me a chance to do at least one more note worthy contest this season. Yes, I've been a Salt Lake City hermit, rarely riding anywhere other than Park City and I don't plan to leave until the end of February.
The contest went well, with three sets of rails and two jumps. Everything on the course seemed so tight at first but slowly became more comfortable to ride. Semi-finals day was decent and actually warm, making it perfect for me and my Burton Flying V. The mush didn't seem to bother us. After landing a Cork Back 3, I ended up in 8th place.
Most of the girls rode really well and all managed to take home cheques. I was particularly proud of Joanna Dzierzawski and Canadian girl Spencer O'Brien. However, I was bummed to see two of my friends get hurt, both bruising their heels. Heal quick girls.
Here's some photo hlghlights thanks to Mia Lambsons Filmography.
