SBCWOMEN.COM has stepped up to sponsor the Best Trick award at each stop of this season's You Look Good Rider's Cup tour. On par with the boys, each winner will walk away with an extra $500 lining their pockets for pulling a banger out of their bag of tricks. At last weekend's first stop of the tour at Mont Tremblant, Ontario's own Cassandra Ironside took the oversized cheque (and was hopefully laughing all the way to the bank). We caught up with her to get her thoughts on the the trick, her contest schedule, and women's snowboarding.

WHAT TRICK WON YOU THIS AWESOME AWARD?

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE NEW sbcwomen.com BEST TRICK PRIZE?
It's a good feeling to know that the women are receiving the same amount as the men for best trick. Women's snowboarding is progressing quite fast, and it is comforting to know that women will get rewarded for stepping up their game. Finally it seems worth it to push the envelope, rather than sticking to a simple bag of tricks. It actually played a huge part in my decision to enter this contest; I was pumped to hear that sbcwomen.com was getting involved, and five bills isn't too bad either.
WHAT OTHER CONTESTS WILL WE SEE YOU AT THIS SEASON?
YLG Blue Mountain, Billabong Flaunt It, Triple Challenge, Telus Spin.
WHERE IS THE COOLEST PLACE YOU HAVE EVER BEEN SNOWBOARDING?
I have been fortunate enough to go to Mammoth twice, this is by far the tightest place I have been able to go. Both trips were very inspiring, the girls there are really good. It made me want try new tricks that I never thought I would be capable of doing. I'm going to be moving there for next season!
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM SNOWBOARD TRIP?
My dream snowboard trip would be... being able to go somewhere that I can sled and cruise pow, but also ride park as if it were a warm spring day, then party real hard -- ha.
WHAT FEMALE RIDERS ARE YOU STOKED ON AND WHY?
Jamie Anderson, Spencer O'Brien, Nat Gough, Raewyn Reid, MFR. I'm stoked on these girls because they are pushing women's snowboarding to the next level, and they all have positive attitudes which have influenced my riding in so many ways. Raewyn and MFR kill it on jibs; tight style, Jamie and Spencer I look up to for their slopestyle status; they both dominate, and Nat is the reason why I started riding park two years ago. I saw her at Blue Mountain Triple Challenge -- straight up, I didn't even know girls could hit jumps.
SHOUT OUTS?
Sponsors, Chris Powling, Max Hill, CASG.
