How I Spent My Summer Vacation:
Hannah Teter
So I recently went to super sweet Kauai and man, oh man, is that place gorgeous. Everyday is the best, and after every meal I would say "Whoa, that was the best meal—again.”
I was trying to fit in with my not-so-tanned skin, pretending I could be hot like the locals there.
From the mangos to the papayas, the surf, yoga, dancing, and perfect temperatures, rope swings, turtles, smoothies every day, spiraling, coconuts, meeting travelers, locals and tourists, the trip was amazing. Snorkeling, surfing, and hoola-hooping, are my favourite things besides snowboarding, so when I get to do them in tropical places, life could not get any better.
Nightlife in Kauai is the best way (besides the gym) to get exercise. I mean seriously, sweating in a dance club, pounding water, rocking out to good tunes, checking out the people who look hot in the dark—just don’t turn on the lights! My favourite thing about this trip was when my parents came back from hiking the 11 mile Nepali Coast Trail and they were so dirty and so stoked to do it in four days. They decided to take a shower. I really got a sense of where I get my toughness; it was handed down in the Teter genes.
