If I was a rich girl, na na na na na na na…
Susie Floros, Burton women’s team manager, hit Vancouver to see Gwen Stefani with a few of the team riders. Check out her blog from the show.
My boss, Rene, is the man. Not only did he hook us up with sixth row tickets to see Gwen Stefani in Vancouver, but we also received full VIP treatment.
I decided to use up some good ol’ United frequent flyer miles and jet out for two nights to meet up with Spencer, Elena, Natasza, and Spencer’s friend Ellen to see the show.
We opted to travel in style and checked-in at the posh Opus Hotel. Word on the street has it that’s where Ms. Stefani (or does she go by Rosdale now?) stayed last year but she wasn’t down with all the construction in front of the building this year. She was with a baby and all. Anyhow, my credit card was a little wounded afterwards, but it was worth it.
Gwen is truly a performer. Saying at one point in the show, “This here tonight is what I live for.” And it showed as she submersed herself in the audience, connecting with the fans who had seats in the far end of the stadium. She put on an amazing performance filled with energy as she ran across the stage in shoes I wouldn’t even be able to walk in. There weren’t any No Doubt songs performed, so I’m definitely looking forward to their reunion tour.
