Lift Line Poll: If you had to be the spokesperson for a non-sports related product, what would it be?

Chanel. –Molly Milligan

Whole Foods. –Meghann O’Brien

It'd be pretty sweet to be a spokesperson for any kind of delicious food product. Or even an entire store, like say Whole Foods, and just get some amazing discount. Any kind of semi-healthy, tasty treats, sign me up! –Nat Gough

The Calgary Flames. They are not really a product but still, they are the sickest! Plus, I think I make a pretty convincing point when I say, when Jarome is in the Dome nothing else matters. Its logical. –Raewyn Reid

A Segway company. Then I could ride around on Segways all day. Taking it to the streets –Breanna Stangeland

Lift Line Poll: What's the silliest thing you've worn snowboarding?

Every week we'll be asking Canadian snowboard gals a different question à la Heathers lunchtime poll. Leave your own answer in the comments.

The silliest thing I have ever worn snowboarding was an XXL puffy black jacket. My roommates talked me into it convincing me that it looked gangster, which was the "cool" trend at the time. I looked like a huge burnt marshmallow. It made it difficult to ride because it came well below my knees but its puffiness broke my fall every time I fell. –Taylor Godber

I am a dork. I don't wear cool button-up long sleeves, or hoodies or nice Cilla underlayers. If I'm riding park I wear tight long underwear with elbow, knee and tailbone padding. So if I go into the lodge for a tea at some point, yes, I am embarrassed to take my jacket off and look like a boardercrosser. –Molly Milligan

One year I wore the same tie-dye tall tee every day I went out. I think thats a pretty silly thing. –Raewyn Reid

Funniest and silliest thing I've worn was probably a Rudolf costume, flashing red nose and all, while my partner in crime was Santa Claus. All of which ended in a victorious pond skim and a free trip to Jamaica courtesy of Appleton Rum! –Nat Gough

I wish the funniest thing I had worn was a penguin suit to go snowboarding in. I have yet to have a snowboarding safari day with friends. –Meghann O’Brien

Probaly my XXL shirt with a painted women in a purple bikini with a 36DD cup. You know, Florida style! Made quite a slash in Hood that summer, everybody wanted my number! –Magalie Dubois

Shoptalk with Sara Mikkelsen

Sara Mikkelsen works at Coastal Riders in Surrey, BC. Known as Tall Sara, a nickname given to her by Timebomb’s Dave Birnie, she can be seen riding up at Seymour when she’s not at work.

What advice do you give girls coming in to buy their first set up? “Don’t go for the ‘pretty’ board. Go for the board that actually fits your height and weight and style of riding. You’re going to look better making it down the mountain with a set up that works for you.”

What are three items in store right now that you love? “Dinosaurs Will Die boards (www.dinosaurswilldie.com) because they’re not dead yet. Jeff and Sean that run DWD are awesome friends that ride for Coastal and I think everyone should support them! PartySnake Tees (www.thepartysnake.com) because if you know, you know, if you don’t, check them out! Shwood sunglasses (www.shwoodshop.com) that we will be getting, they are handmade out of wood—and my boyfriend helps make them.”

How often do you get up riding and where do you like to go? “Mount Seymour! I normally like to get four or five days of riding a week but this year has been a little different with the weather but I’m always down to go up in a poncho and do some rain riding.”

What's your set up this year? “Burton was nice enough to put me on a shop girl program and hooked me up almost head to toe. I’m riding the Blender with Molotov bindings, Hail boots, POW Gloves (always helping me out) and Dragon goggles.”

What's the greatest thing about working at Coastal Riders? “My Godfather Damon Pyett. And if your lucky to meet him— Damone.”

Any funny stories from working in a snowboard shop? “It’s Coastal Riders—funny stuff is going on all the time. Anything from the people, parties, trips, customers, team, the dolphin, Nelson out back—there’s always something going on to keep you laughing.

Torah Bright gets her own stamp in Australia

One of the many perks of winning a gold medal for Australia at the Olympics, is getting your own stamp. Torah Bright, who won the gold medal in Women's Halfpipe at the recent Olympic Games in Vancouver has shown up on an Australian 55 cent stamp (equivalent of about 51 cents in Canada), Bright told press that she was going to take hers "straight to the pool room." I guess that's where she writes her letters?
