“It was awesome to have my own board. It’s an honour that especially as a girl only few get. I was stoked for sure. My second board was more of a design play, [with a] scratched skateboard touch to it since I try my luck with skateboarding too. The scratches were my initials, S and M through tail and nose … I’m stoked I had a chance to have my own board. I kept some for later in life. Once I’m done riding competitively I might go back to riding my very own board.” -Silvia Mittermüller

Artec snowboards releases Laura Hadar’s pro model

Over at camp Nitro, Cheryl Maas’ signature snowboard is unveiled
“Nitro was the first brand to give me a pro model and I was super stoked. This is something I have always wanted. It is nice to make a product that fits your riding and that looks good in your eyes and you can get creative with ... All the brands are good to work with. They give me the freedom to come up with ideas and colours I like and then they work it out together with me to the final product. As well they let me fit it all together (board, boots, gloves, goggle) because it is a bit of fashion. All the artists I work with at the brands are good to communicate with and know how to put my thoughts to a drawing. Sometimes I draw things myself first and than they fine-tune it to something amazing.” –Cheryl Maas
